Greece and all of Europe were waiting on Tuesday for the announcement of the name of the prime minister that will head a new coalition government that will ratify a new loan agreement for Greece and implement the country’s commitments to its international lenders before leading Greece to early general elections, most likely in mid-February.
ND press spokesman Yiannis Mihelakis said on private television early Tuesday that the new government will also contain political personalities, and not only technocrats as initially planned, while the Eurogroup late Monday asked for a “commitment in writing” from the new government to be formed and the political forces backing it on implementation of the October 26-27 eurozone summit decisions.
