Canadian swimmers win 5 Gold at Para Pan Pac swimming championships

Benoit Huot of Montreal clinched the gold medal and came within 0.07 seconds of his world record in the men’s 200-metre individual medley Saturday at the Para Pan Pac swimming championships.
In all, Canadian swimmers won five gold, seven silver and four bronze medals on Saturday, improving to 11-16-22 overall which is good for fifth in the medal count, behind Australia, the U.S., Brazil and Mexico.
Huot clocked 2:11.36 In the men’s 200 IM in the S10 disability to go with two silver and a bronze he earned earlier.
